LaVeta Breath

LaVeta Breath is an Oklahoma native with two grown children and no grandchildren yet. She earned a master’s degree in public administration from the University of Central Oklahoma and has lived and worked in Oklahoma City her entire life.

LaVeta began her career in the insurance industry more than 27 years ago, with an early focus on the claims side of the business. Over time, her expertise has expanded, and her current wheelhouse includes safety and property insurance.

For the past 17 years, she has worked for the City of Oklahoma City. As the Risk Manager for the 20th largest city in the United States, she says every day is a new day. With so many exciting things happening in Oklahoma City, she is grateful to be part of it.

LaVeta often compares insurance to a wrinkled raincoat in the backseat of your car—you don’t remember how great it is until it keeps you from getting rained on.
